FractalineTerrariums loves connecting people with plant life. Grown in agriculture rich southern Ontario, we cherish each interaction with the living world and want to bring a bit of that world closer to home.
Canada’s seasonal shifts can make green thumbs and nature-lovers alike bummed out by inconsistencies in the weather. With lush succulents, quirky air plants, and friendly tropicals, we can address this challenge at the roots!
Our Terrarium Kits are specially designed to make unique gifts, a fun new hobby, and hardy living home wares for both self-described ‘black thumbs’ and experienced growers alike.
How Does it Work?
Each kit comes with a pre-portioned amounts of everything you will need to build your new star performing accent piece. Also included is an easy-to-follow instruction guide. Just choose your favourite kind of plants, cute decorations, and the colours that suit you best, and you’re ready to go!
Each terrarium can be assembled in under an hour, and with a bit of practice, you can even make a few in that time.
What is a Terrarium?
A terrarium is an ecosystem enclosed within glass walls. Traditional terrariums house all manner of wildlife and can be semi-contained, or fully encased. “Terrarium” is also a term used for the homes in which pet amphibians live.
Here, Terrariums are semi-enclosed glass containers brimming with succulents or air plants.
Living Home Decor
FractalineTerrariums also specializes in other living home décor, such as succulent arrangements (no glass container) or funky, one-of-a-kind air plant pieces. These pieces can be found at local market appearances, or through custom order – keep in touch to learn when they will hit the website!
Over on the Etsy shop, you can find unique, handcrafted concrete pots and other plant-based accessories.
This fall, 5% of profits on the sale of any terrarium will be donated to SACHA in support of survivors of sexual assault.
SACHA supports survivors of sexual assault while working to end violence throughout our communities. They provide free, confidential, non-judgemental support including counselling and advocacy, diverse community outreach, public education, and a 24-Hour support line.
Hi! My name is Amelia. In 2015 I began FractalineTerrariums as a way to secure meaningful employment while reconnecting with nature. As the kind of person who will cook a big meal just to share with friends, creating and sharing succulent terrariums from within my new home in Oxford County has been a natural next step.
